About Us

untitled Shesaurus.com: Dictionary-thesaurus is a reference center that features a collection of gender-based terms from all over including: Jamaican, Military, Yiddish, Slang, British, Hip Hop, Shakespearean and Greek Mythology.  We’ve researched various reference books, blogs and sites to catalog, catagorize and define terms not found in your typical dictionary-thesaurus.  We won’t clutter your precious eyeballs with thumbs-up /thumbs-down non-sense.  We won’t attack you with useless information, nursery rhymes or games.  We control all entries and submissions (We have no control).  We also don’t discriminate against overly offensive derogatory terms (We hate them).  Instead, they’ll be punished with a Derog. label, like Hester Prynne in The Scarlet Letter.

We are not etymologists.  Etymology is the study of the history of words, their origins, and how their form and meaning have changed over time.  Our language has been bastardized so much, it’s hard to keep up, so we don’t bother!  You can consider us, lexicologists who major in Neologism; a name for newly coined terms, words, or phrases that may be in the process of entering common use, but  has not yet been accepted into our mainstream language.  Our business is collecting and cataloging  terms related specifically to men and women.  Did you know Webster’s dictionary was considered too vulgar for societies precious ears?

Culturally conservative Federalists denounced the work as radical—too inclusive in its lexicon and even bordering on vulgar. Meanwhile Webster’s old foes the Jeffersonian Republicans attacked the man, labelling him mad for such an undertaking – Webster’s Wikipage

How would you define a, ‘dictionary’?  Newsflash: we’re definitely not yesterday’s dictionary!  We do recognize society’s growth and influence on our language and culture.  Shesaurus.com is that adaptation.  In our research, we’ve come across many terms never heard before, obsolete or brand spanking newly coined.  Who’s job or right is it to question its validity?  We certainly are not the authority on the English language!  We’re simply the messengers.  If you can welcome William Shakespeare who coined so many outlandish slang terms, that as a result, are hundreds of dictionaries devoted to translating his creative and brazen mind!  We’re now asking you to welcome Shesaurus.com and all its purest forms of vulgarity, including outlandish nonsense into your heart.
